THE WEEK I GOT LICE

 Week 45

Well sad to say its true. πŸ˜‚ I got lice this week. And best companion award goes to Hermana Terrones because she helped me pick them all out for about two hours. Also I learned that almost all of the little girls here have lice in their hair so you have to be very careful who you hug  πŸ˜‚ The things you learn while serving a mission πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Other exciting news is our Bff Rubi turned 12 on Friday! We got to eat arroz con pollo and some really delicious Birthday Cake.  Costa Rican Cake > USA Cake

AND a missionary couple from Canada invited us over to their house to help decorate their Christmas tree! They put on some good christmas music and it was one of those moments that you just want to last forever! I love Christmas time ❤πŸŽ„πŸŽ…

Highlight of my week was a lesson we had with the Uva Family. Right now we are teaching Alejandro and the Elders are teaching Pablo (Ana`s son)... Saturday night we were about to start the lesson when the Elders walked in, not knowing that we were already there! We ended up having a lesson with them, a member in the ward, us, and the whole Uva Family... It was so spiritual and I wont say I didnt cry a little bit when they all committed to stop smoking and drinking. WE LOVE THE UVA FAMILY! ❤

So all in all it was a pretty interesting week...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Week 44

To start things off.... yes there was a Hurricane here in Costa Rica and yes I am alive. πŸ˜‚
My area wasnt affected at all but I know that there were missionaries who had to be evacuated... and there are people who have lost their homes and right now the whole country is coming together to bring supplies and food to them. So please include these people in your prayers! Thursday we couldnt leave the house for a little bit just to be safe, but everyone was fine here in Belen!

ALSO this week the coolest thing happened! I was with my zone in Heredia knocking on doors and finding new people to teach.. Afterwards we all got on the bus together to head back to our areas AND I JUST HAPPENED TO FIND MY GOOD FRIEND FROM UTAH MADDIE VILLALOBOS! I got on the bus and we made eye contact and oh my goodness that was the weirdest but best thing that has ever happened to me! To be sitting next to a good ol`friend from utah on a bus in Costa Rica! For some reason Heavenly Father brought us together ❤😊 Sending pΓ¬ctures!

and its officially christmas over here... everyone has their christmas trees and their lights up... the only thing missing is the snow πŸ˜’❄⛄ Below is a picture of me hugging a christmas tree. You`re welcome.

This week was our week of Miracles so we spent our days in all of the surrounding cities finding new people to teach and to be honest I completely forgot that this week was Thanksgiving πŸ˜‚ But just to get into the thanksgiving spirit... I sure am grateful that I decided to serve a mission! :)  We had some great experiences and I am also really grateful for my zone :) We had splits every day with a different sister in our zone and im also sending pictures of me and Hermana Guevara... She is a wonderful missionary :)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST YESTERDAY I HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN HERE TEN MONTHS HOLY GUACAMOLE THAT WAS THE FASTEST MONTH OF MY WHOLE MISSION. πŸ˜

But anyways, it was good week filled with hurricanes and christmas trees and my good old friend from utah :) Thanks for all of you love and support! And just in case you want to like... send me a letter or somethin... here is the address πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰❤ Love you all!

UNA SEMANA LLENA DE MILAGROS

Week 43

Photos!
1. This week we were in a trio for five days! Hermana Alba`s new companion was coming from Utah but had some problems with her Visa.. So we got to spend some time in a trio waiting for her! She finally showed up and I was super excited to be able to talk to her because she will be training in Pavas!!! She didnt speak much Spanish and oh my goodness brought back some good memories of when I showed up here Costa Rica... and she is going to be with the wonderful people in Pavas. I am only a little jealous πŸ˜‰πŸ˜’

2. CHRISTMAS. They set up a Nativity scene in front of the temple and we had to take some pictures.

3. A really horrible picture of me... but who cares!πŸ˜‚  I love these people❤ Dont judge my face.

So this week was a good one... I havent talked much about Alvaro and Anielka... in fact I dont think I have ever talked about them! hahah I think that is mostly due to the fact that we have been teaching them since August! They havent been progressing much because they had no desire at all to get married... and we all know as missionaries that if they dont want to get married, they cant get baptized. πŸ˜‘ We have been working really hard with them and bringing members to their house. We even brought a couple from Canada that have been together for 50 years to prove that happy marriages exist. πŸ˜‚ AND AFTER THREE LONG MONTHS they finally decided to get married! Its been a miracle. Oh my goodness after that lesson we were in the Taxi on the way home we had to hold in our screams.. after getting home we literally screamed and danced around the room for joy! Ahhh I still cant believe it. We are now planning ANOTHER wedding over here in Belen... you can just call us the love experts πŸ˜‰

AND yesterday Hazel and Rubi came to church! ahhhhhh! I know that probably doesnt mean anything to all you folks reading this... but lets just say it was a good day yesterday and after months of teaching... they are finally progressing πŸ˜Š I promise next week I will have pictures of both of these great families πŸ˜Š

And last but not least.... Just in case you didnt know, Costa Rica played the United States in Soccer this week... and lets just say I hope that United States never loses again because for about four days straight every person in the street had to let the gringa (me) know that they killed us. It was a bad week to be a Gringa in Costa Rica.

Thats all I have for you but I hope you all have a great week!

BODAS AND CHRISTMAS IN BETHLEHEM :)

Week 42

Well this week was definitely one for the books! ANA AND ALEJANDRO GOT MARRIED! WOO! It was a crazy week trying to get everything figured out with the food and the lawyer and the decorations... but all in all everything was great and we are so happy for this wonderful family πŸ˜Š WE LOVE THE UVA FAMILY ❤

AND.... (the good news does not stop there) I AM STAYING IN BELEN UNTIL CHRISTMAS! Which means I will be in Bethlehem for Christmas. It cant get any better than that right?πŸŽ„⛄πŸŽ… My companion wasn`t transfered either! We are going to have three transfers together, which is longer than I have had with any other companion! We are both pretty excited about it. I can now start worrying about being here until my birthday πŸ˜‰

And the whole world keeps asking me how I feel about Donald Trump so thats fun... #AmericanProblems
But other than that it was a great week and we found a bunch of wonderful people while knocking on doors! Missionary life is good πŸ˜Š
Love you all! Have a great week!
