LETTER NUMBER FOUR

BUENOS DIAS FAMILIA Y AMIGOS
This week was so amazing! We had our miracle week and oh my goodness it lived up to its name... it was definitely a week of miracles! We knocked on a whole bunch of doors and found a whole bunch of families that were just waiting for us! On Wednesday we had a culture night and all of the missionaries in our zone brought food and pictures from our countries and we invited all of the members and investigators... me and the other gringos just bought some KFC and called it good 😂 Typical gringos. Then on Friday we acted out a play in the park and in the bus stop of a guy in the premortal life that came to earth and met the missionaries. I got to be an angel in the premortal life👍 Dont worry pictures are coming. #ZONALIBERIA

AND our last miracle happened on Saturday! Ana and Rodolfo got married and were baptized with their 11 year old daughter, Melani!! Ush!!! It was a crazy day and were definitely running around trying to get everything done... but it was so wonderful to see them take this new step! Saturday was such a great day and my face hurt from smiling so much! After the baptisms we went to a church activity with the ward and almost all of our investigators came and we were all together in the activity and oh my goodness we were so happy! yesterday Marcelina came to church for the fourth time and also Ana and Miguel... ahhh it was a great week guys! I LOVE SEMANA DE MILAGROS. And I am so excited to start teaching all of the wonderful families that we met this week... I probably wont be there to see them walk into the waters of baptism but I know we are sowing seeds ... and I am going to sow as many seeds as I can these last four weeks👊
Love you all and see ya soon!

HELLO FRIENDS AND FAMILY! This week also passed by super fast! we passed by to visit ana and rodolfo almost every day! Ahhh i just love them so much! This week we also went on splits with the sisters in Santa Cruz! Lets just say we got soaked. It POURED rain! We also made some more banana cake to make money for the wedding we are going to have this saturday! It was a great week! Yesterday we hadnt found any new investigators to teach so we said a prayer and headed out... and it was so fun talking to new people and knocking on doors! We also found a family that is AWESOME! I love being a missionary and talking to everyone 😁😁

This week i was also studying in John! Oh my goodness I have found a new love for reading the new testament! I love verses 10 and 11 which say

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love: Even as I have kept my fathers commandments, and abide in his love. These things I have spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

When we keep the commandments, we find TRUE happiness ❤ I have felt that happiness and peace here in the mission!

And if you made it this far reading, congratulations 😉 Love you all and hope you have a great week!

LAST SIX WEEKS #LetterNumber6

So this week was the best week ever! and there a lots of reasons why!

First. Elder Renlund came to Costa Rica to talk to all of the missionaries! Both of the missions here in Costa Rica (west and east) got together to listen and we all got to shake his hand and introduce ourselves to him personally! 😁 He talked to us about how Heavenly Father wants us to do missionary work with joy... and not to just do it to get it done.He told us we are called to serve in a specific country for a specific reason and told us a few experiences he had assigning missionaries. I could feel in that moment that Costa Rica was the perfect place for ME and that this is where Heavenly Father wanted me... and I am so grateful for the people I have met here and my amazing mission president who has helped me to become a better person and to be the best missionary I can be! PRESIDENT LABORIEL is the best ❤ It was such an amazing experience that I will never forget. The spirit was so strong in that room😊 THE PROPHET AND APOSTLES ARE MEN CALLED OF GOD FOLKS... im grateful to say I have a testimony of that now :)

Also this week ANA AND RODOLFO DECIDED TO GET MARRIED!! wooo! We are now planning another wedding guys... I am basically the wedding expert now.😉 Hermana Laboriel left with us to visit people and she talked to them about marriage and right then and there they decided they wanted to! It helped to have someone who understands what its like to be married.. because lets be honest... I know nothing about marriage😂

And the last thing that made this week AWESOME was that yesterday six investigators came to church yesterday! We are also teaching another couple named Ana and Miguel and we love them lots :)

It was an amazing week and I cant believe how fast time is passing! I am officially en my last transfer! #Anciana Now starts the six week countdown. Holy guacamole that was fast. I know these last six weeks are going to be FULL of miracles :) Love you all and have a great week!

ANOTHER EMAIL FROM SEESTER BASS

Okay first things first... last week I told you all that I saw a whole bunch of fireflies... they were LIGHTNING BUGS... sometimes I forget how to speak english 😂
This week we had an intense lesson with a girl named Marcelina.. That was a good time and we all felt the spirit. She came to church yesterday to hear me and my companion give our talks! We will see what happens.

Also this week Ana and Rodolfo moved houses and now they live in a giant farm... lets just say its an adventure visiting them now. Last night we left their house at around 8:30 at night and i have never seen so many lightning bugs in my whole life... ahhhh coolest thing ever.
It was a good week and I definitely learned a lot. I have been studying in the New Testament this week and I feel like I have gotten to know the Savior more...I was reading in Mark chapter 9... oh my goodness I love this chapter so much. It talks about the man who had a son that was very sick.... he went to Jesus Christ and begged him saying, ´´have compassion on us, and help us´´ and Jesus Christ responded by saying, ´´If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.´´   And I can just imagine as the man responds with tears in his eyes and cries out, ´´ Lord, I believe.............. help thou mine unbelief´´
Sometimes we all have moments where it is hard to believe but I KNOW that he can help us through those times. In the end of the story Jesus Christ is able to heal the son because his father had faith. And just imagine.. he had Jesus Christ sitting right in front of him and it was still hard for him to believe. Folks I know that we can do anything and get through anything with faith in him. And just like President Utchdorf said, Doubt your doubts before doubting your faith.
LOVE YOU ALL AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK
Hermana Bass

okay so this week I didnt take many pictures... hahah but here is one of me... THEY CHANGED THE RULES AND WE CAN WEAR SHORTER SKIRTS NOW woooo! Here is a picture to celebrate it. 😂🎉❤👊 also a picture of me and companion in ana and rodolfos new house!

Selfies and BAPTISMS

Okay so this week was definitely one for the books. To start things off I SAW FIREFLIES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE! :D We were walking down the street a few nights ago and a firefly flew into my face and I turned around and in the field next to us there there were a whole bunch and it was coolest thing ever... For awhile there I thought fireflies only existed in the movies 😉

AND this week they switched out our old brick phones for samsung galaxy phones...🎉👍  lets just say Im not used to using a smart phone. After 16 months you tend to forget a few things 😂 But I am gunna send you all our first selfie! #Technology
And last but not least this week Shana (Darwins sister) got baptized!!! WOOO! Oh my goodness her baptism was so spiritual... we sang: I Like To Look For Rainbows and while we were singing, it started pouring rain outside and it was a good moment.😊❤ After she was baptized, she was asked to share her testimony and she just started crying. She said that she was so grateful to have learned about the Gospel and more than anything that she had learned what repentence really means. She cried as she told us all that the most important thing we taught her is that through Jesus Christ she can have a clean slate and be forgiven for our past mistakes. I wont lie and say we werent crying as well ;) We love Shana :)
It was a good week folks :)
Hope you all had a good one as well!
