I DONT HAVE TIME TO WRITE TODAY :(

Ok so this week my companion got her ID, Credit card, Camera, amd himn book stolen out of her backpack :( As a result we had to take ANOTHER five hour bus to san jose today at 3 in morning to pick up a copy of her ID in the Office and then head BACK to Guanacaste in another five hour bus ride. I think this might be the best Pday of my whole mission  

Also this week we had to teach lessons in two different Zone meetings... one in Santa Cruz and the other in Liberia... we also went on splits with more sisters in the Region! AND our mission president left with us to visit people in our area..... Lets just say I am getting out of my comfort zone big time... And doing things that scare me! hahaha But I know that there is growth when we leave the comfort zone. And sometimes Heavenly Father pushes us out of our comfort zones on purpose :)

AND THIS WEEK WE SAW MIRACLES. Edwin got baptized! I am going to send pictures! He is a great kid :) And as for the other miracle... We are still teaching the 82 year old abuelo. And lets just say this week he decided to comb his hair and put his teeth in   #Progress

I have more stories for you all but I dont have any time left :( I promise I will write more next week!

HELLO AGAIN

This week we had Leadership Council! Which means we had to take a five hour bus ride to San Jose where the Mission Office is and another five hour bus ride to go back... We left Thursday afternoon and didn't get home until Friday at about 11. But it was a great and we learned a lot!

Also conference weekend! It was my third and last conference here in Costa Rica :( Its been fun to see the progress I have made in Spanish since my first conference. haha I didnt understand anything! But this weekend was great and if you didnt get the chance to listen... I recommend talks by Joaquin E. Costa, Neil L. Anderson and weatherford T. Clayton. Those were my favorites.

Things you should know about Guanacaste

1. The streets here are all dirt... so basically when I get home at night I have a layer of dirt on me and all my clothes. (Sweat and dirt make a great combination)

2. EVERYONE opens the door and wants to listen to our message... seriously... We don't even finish telling them who we are and they ask us to come in and share something...

3. -I don't know if this will make sense in English but im gunna try. hahaha We met a man that was bringing electricity to a family because they didnt have lights in their house... later we were telling the story to an Elder and told him that the man was ´´dando luz´´ or ´´giving light´´ .... however in Spanish ´´dando a luz´´ can also mean giving birth hahahhaha oh my goodness the Elder´s face about killed me.

4. And speaking of electricity.... THE LIGHTS IN THE WHOLE CITY WENT OUT YESTERDAY and I about died of heatstroke... because no electricity means no fans. But dont worry folks it came back on after a few hours :)

ADVENTURES EN GUANCASTE

HOLA A TODOS!! Voy a escribir en español y en ingles porque ahora tengo mas amigos en este grupo, y algunos no hablan ingles! Esta semana fue BIEN CALIENTE jajaj Estoy disfrutando guanacaste pero Belen todavía tiene un lugar en mi corazón! Y Mi hija amada (Hermana Varela) me envió las fotos del bautismo de Alison! WOOOO! Estoy tan feliz! No pude estar en persona pero Estaba en espíritu! Y solo para que todos sepan... aqui en guanacaste es normal de tener sudor en todos lados y en cada momento del dia... pero es muy bonito!  jaja y ya estoy MAS ROJA. jajaja tambien tengo que presentarme a todos y siempre digo, ´´Hola yo soy la Hermana Bass... como a donde vas´´ y una vez mi companera loca respondio, ´´Y yo soy la Hermana Boy... como a donde voy´´ jajaja que chistoso la cara de esta señora cuando dijimos esto. amo a mi campanera. Ella es una colombiana... y NO se llama Heremana boy... su nombre es Hermana Franco.   Pero si. Estoy acostumbrándome... Me di cuenta que he sido muy bendecido en todo mi mision porque solo he estado en los mejores lugares con las mejores personas.

HELLO FRIENDS AND FAMILY! 

okay so lets just say Its normal to constantly feel sticky and sweaty here in my area! haha The people here are so great and I am really excited to get to know them a little better. This week we went on splits with the sisters in San Roque (USH FIRST TIME GOING ON SPLITS) They are the best :) Also this week we found an 82 year old and brought him to church with us this sunday.... He had a good time  ALSO my companion in Belen sent me pictures of Alisons baptism!! I wasnt able to be there to see her baptized but i was definitely there in spirit! Ahhh I love her so much! We started teaching her in November and oh my goodness I remember teaching her and the next day we came back and she said, ´´yep i got an answer...i know its true´´ after only teaching her one time! hahah ahhh So happy that she made the decision to be baptized :) Sending pictures!!! 

Basically it was a great week... filled with horses, fields, lots of really hot weather, lots of laughs with my companion, and wonderful people

TIME TO TURN THE PAGE

Well everyone its time to start a new chapter in my mission. My time in Belen is gone and lets just say I am headed for the hottest place in Costa Rica. GUANACASTE, LIBERIA, LA VICTORIA. #OrenPorMi I dont have much time to write because I have a five hour bus ride ahead of me which leaves in about 30 minutes  My new companion is Hermana Franco and geezo she is amazing! Guanacaste is known for its beaches, horses (everyone tells me they use horses more than cars haha), heat, and jungles.}... BRING IT ON  President says if you never went to Guanacaste, you never had a REAL mission.

I have only had two areas in my whole mission (both in the city)  and I am so sad to leave Belen but excited to start a new adventure! With each transfer comes so much growth. I remember when I was headed for Belen I felt so nervous... I felt so overwhelmed and I feel the same now! President has asked me to be a sister training leader and oh my goodness I feel a little inadequate but excited for what the next four months have in store for me. I know that who Heavenly Father calls, he qualifies! And I know that this is exactly what I need to become the person He wants me to be! 

 Basically im going to be needing lots of prayers because 1.I am going to die of heat stroke 2. I have no idea what I am doing as a sister training leader 3.five hour bus ride. 

I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY... Seriously folks... a mission is so great :)

I LOVE BELEN :)

Well it was a good week! I am sorry my letters are getting shorter and shorter! For some reason every time I am in front of this computer it feels like I was just here! hahaha I promise next week I will write more... Pretty sure this next week will be my last in Belen :( So if you are wondering what Im going to be doing this next week... ill be visiting as many people as possible and enjoying my last week in the best area!

This week we were visiting a 21 year old who is inactive. She was telling us how she graduated from seminary, finished personal progress two times, went to the temple every Friday, and went to EFY three times... But that little by little she stopped going to church and now she doesnt have any desire to go back. As she was telling us all of this I realized how easy it is to forget our testimonies... I realized how easy it is to forget the things you have felt before or an answer to a prayer that you received. I feel like we are constantly in a race with Satan... he is behind us and if we dont constantly read or pray or go to church, he catches up to us... We have to continually move forward or we will fall. If you want to win the race you gotta keep moving forward! Keep Praying. Keep Believing. Keep Trying. :)

MONTE DE CRUZ PART 3

Well folks you know what happens when you are in the same area for 8 months??? You get to go to Monte De La Cruz THREE TIMES...  Sending pictures of part 3.

AND the last time I wrote to you all was Thursday.. not much has happened since then.. So this week you are all just going to get a whole bunch of photos :) You´re welcome. 

Sunday ended up being so great because a couple we are teaching ended up coming to church with the baby AND the mom... that made us pretty happy :) We also had a lesson with Alex.. I dont know if I have talked about him before but we have been teaching him since January and a whole bunch of baptism dates have come and gone.. we had a super spiritual lesson with him and at the end told him to look at a calendar and choose a his own date... we waited and in my head I said a prayer that if I was supposed to be in this area so see him baptized, he would choose a date before our transfer date.. (my time is slowly running out here in Belen) But if not I would be okay with not being here to see him baptized... after about five minutes he chose a date and ended up choosing the DAY BEFORE OUR TRANSFERS. Heavenly Father answers prayers guys :) We´ll see what happens... ill keep you all posted! But for now...

NOCHE DE TALENTOS Y EL TEMPLO

HOLA AMIGOS

I am writing on Thursday because our Pday got changed... There isnt much to share this week because I feel like I blinked and then here and I am again writing to you all! This morning our zone got to go to the temple. Its the best being the area of the Temple because we are good friends with all the temple workers :) 

Also I dont know if y´all remember but back in December Anielka and Alvaro got married and were baptized here in Belen! And I am super excited because we spent the week helping them with their Family History and yesterday they had their interviews to go to the temple..... and TODAY they are going to go to baptisms!! And the best part? We get to go! (Ush twice in one day) We asked President for permission and he said we could! WOoo! #NuevosConversosVanAlTemplo  

This week we also had a talent show in the ward... Me, my companion, and the elders performed ´´el pollito pio¨´ Que Venguenza. Im gunna try and send a video.. but only with one condition. You dont judge us
